    Developer surface

    • JavaScript/TypeScript SDK (@searchlayerpdf/sdk) with retries, polling, and webhook verification.
    • MCP server (searchlayerpdf-mcp) — eight tools so Claude can process PDFs directly.
    • CLI (npx searchlayerpdf): process, jobs, keys, doctor.
  2. Alpha

    Per-page billing & scores

    • Retrievability Score computed before and after every page.
    • Pages we don't meaningfully improve — and blank pages — are no longer charged.
    • Per-job and monthly cost caps on all paid tiers.
  3. Alpha

    Multi-engine synthesis

    • Page-level triage routes each page to its best-fit OCR engine.
    • AI synthesis reconciles multiple engine outputs into one corrected text layer.
    • Specialist Arabic & Persian (Nastaʿlīq) recognition.
  4. Alpha

    Foundations

    • REST API: jobs, results, diagnostics, API keys.
    • PDF/A-3b archival output with the original layout preserved.
    • Google sign-in, automatic 24-hour document deletion.
